My resolution for 2015

While most people think of their resolution for the New Year, in terms of weight loss, money savings, and items they want to get for their home, or themselves, I have yet to hear anyone say anything about their health. Ladies in high positions who are walking every day in those high heel shoes, and complain day in, and day out, about the pain in their feet, comes New Year and their resolutions include everything, except their poor painful feet.
Man with back problems, legs and knee problems, man who are on their feet the whole day at work, make less resolutions then woman, but when they do, it does not include their health.
Speaking of health, I am not talking about things that 99% of the people run to the doctor as soon as possible, but on those things like foot pain, lower leg pain, yellow toe nails which are signs of trouble, and yet are ignored.
My 2015 resolution, would be to solve my circulation problem in my legs, so I am able to walk barefoot in the snow, and cold weather (N.Y weather). At that time the only place I would wear shoes, would be work.
Wishing all a warm barefoot winter.

Our feet

It is frightening to think about losing any part of the body in an accident, or amputation for any reason, diabetes, and such. When one thinks of these horrible things, he or she still does not take care of the most neglected part of the body –  our feet.
You walk on them every day, standing for hours at work, or at home while his / her poor feet are stuffed in high heels, leather shoes, running shoes, or boots, none which give the poor feet any help in the day to day work load they carry.
Take care of your feet – let them free – walk barefoot, even if it is only at home.
It will pay when you get older, and you are still walking on your own two feet.

Society forgot

It’s sad. And It’s obvious to those of us who were around during the 1960s and 1970s, when going barefoot everywhere was popular. Start early in the spring with short barefoot walks. Then longer each month, and by summer we were able to walk on the hottest pavement, sharpest rocks, no problems at all. How our shoe obsessed society forgot this and has to re-learn it is strange. I mean young people were shopping barefoot, running errands, working out in gyms (Arnold did his bodybuilding barefoot during the 1970s), anywhere in public places. Young people today apparently have no idea this even happened. They are so squeamish now. Everything is ‘ewww’ ‘gross’ ‘yuk’, with no knowledge of the biology around them, or the concept of risk assessment.

Very sad.

Cure for smelly feet

Vodka

Use it for: Foot odor

If your feet smell less than swell, wipe them down with a vodka-soaked washcloth to get rid of the stench. It’s the same principle as rubbing alcohol (which works equally well if you’d rather drink your Grey Goose). Vodka contains alcohol, which is antiseptic and drying, so it destroys odor-causing fungus and bacteria and dries out the moisture that lets these organisms grow.
