Interesting fact

How interesting that so many products are released and considered okay until studies show them to be dangerous. Innocent until proven guilty. Somehow, however, going barefoot is guilty of being “bad” for us and we have to prove that it’s “innocent” and a GOOD thing?

Lesson

Don’t rely on shoes to do the job that good ol’ fashioned work and sweat can give you. In fact, don’t rely on shoes to do much more than create problems for your feet and take some money out of your bank account.

Barefoot is “GROSS”

If we call bare feet “gross”, then any sort of sandal should be considered “gross” since pretty much the whole top of the foot can be seen. The same part that is seen when someone has bare feet.

Why not have a uniform that everyone puts on when they come in the door, so that touchy customers won’t be offended by the fashion choices of other customers.

If our bare feet are so disturbing to others, are they not bothered touching items at the store, that others touched, with their hands which have been, and touched who knows where and what?

If our bare feet are thought to spread germs, and look “gross” and “disgusting”, how do sandals and flip-flops mainly, change that effect? Does the fact of having something between the foot sole and the floor, make the foot look better?

It all comes to one thing – those people who were thought since childhood that shoes are the only way to go out in public, other then a few places like the sea shore, pools, or the park, but nowhere else is it normal to be barefoot, so why in those places our feet are not “gross and disgusting”?

Because that is the norm in our society, and doing so changes the norms. and confuse people.

Back in time

Another explanation for the NSNSNS signs in stores front…

Follow me, if you will, back a few decades to the oceanfront. Areas like Atlantic City were bustling with people. It’s a mix of surfer dudes, beach bunnies, energetic kiddos and tourists. Inside one of the many shops along the boardwalk, a married couple on vacation from the midwest is looking for souvenirs to take home. Shortly after, a surfer dude walks in wearing only his swimming trunks. His wet feet have dragged sand into the shop, spreading it across the floor as he goes to one corner to pick up a tube of lip balm. He glances at the couple and nods, saying, “Hey.” The tourists, uncomfortable with this guy, decide that maybe they want to take their business somewhere else.

This was on the sea shore where people wearing only swim suits came in, dragging sand all over, but there is no sand inland, and we are only barefoot, not semi naked !

So how is this explained elsewhere?
